Well, I recently aquired Sony MDR-SA5000 and I am in love with it, so my next purchase will be getting a suitable amp to pair with it to warm up the mid range and soften the edged treble.

I think my next headphone if I ever want to upgrade, it will be the Sony Qualia 010

Sennheiser HD-595 or a new 32 Ohm custom Beyerdynamic DT-880. I still need to find out how different it will sound if its 32 Ohm and how different it sounds against the old DT-880.

I'm probably gonna buy these AKG K501s I have out on loan. *Great* cans. After that, will be looking at a vintage standalone CDP probably, followed by a better amp to go with it.

x2... HD580 was the gateway to darkness for me.... 650 is soon to come.
RS1 is on the wish list but its so expensive. I can have a 650 + decent DIY solid state amp, or chinese tube amp for the price of the RS1.

Well, looking for an upgrade for my sr-60, I fell for the RS-1. Given this healthy pedigree for uber-upgraditis, it is with trepidation that I look for an upgrade for my portable rig. My e2c are pretty likely to become ue5c, as I am enamoured with the idea of customs, however if I end up getting molds done, the UE10 will probably fight for my attention and win. I need a lottery win.
