Hey, right back attcha c/p. You're quite clever for a 'young lady' who has blown out the candles on well over 20 birthday cakes! Maybe we should go out some time. j/k, don't want to have to deal with a Head-Fi harassment case.

You lost your numerical touch here, Wayne That's rather sweet. Those Fl boys told me other stories. For the record, I'm rather pleased with my age, and the fact I learned to to put heavy bags on wheels long ago.

BTW, my number adds up to 26. I don't know what it means.

I mean, really, what could be easier than answering the simple question of "What is your user number?" Then I could meet and greet each new member who stands up to be counted, with comments like, "Hey, Mike, that 8978 number that you have there sure is interesting. It reminds me of Cleveland."

Then an hour later I can check back in and answer the inevitable, "How so?" question with something like, "Well, back in '89 I was living in Ohio, and I'll bet I passed through Cleveland 7 or 8 times! That was while they were doing all of those renovations to the downtown area, and you wanna talk about traffic!"

Anyway, I'll try not to do that, but I'm glad this thread is showing some life.

But in also doing that the rest of us could get our post counts up higher too ... if we're really into that kind of thing. Of course when I started I thought all these Headphonus Supremus obviously knew lots and now that I'm 2/3 of the way towards it myself I realise that I know very little still. How time teaches you things...

user number is useless without post count as a measure of your head-fi status.

post count / user number = your status at any time on an infinite scale.

for example, me:
7175 / 558 = 12.86

now jahn:
18911 / 13558 = 1.39

seems fair.

Oh my, Jahn got owned.

Nice scale; of course, Jude owns everybody at 6314.

I'm only .239

It's 270 for me.

1944/270 = 7.2

My reg number is 768!

I am resistant to change. It is my nature. Had I listened to my inner voice (doing the SHAman thing) instead of sticking with Chu until I lost a good bit of hair...I could have had a number in the first 10-15. Foolish little Zanth.

6454/768 = 8.4
