So I've read that there is a certain volume and type of music you want to burn your Head/In-ear phones in for 20-40 hours. I was planning on the following track list to burn in my UE:Triple Fi.10 at medium volume (bit rates vary between 128-256, but all are direct CD rips by yours truly).

1. John Mayer (Why georgia)
2. John Mayer (No such thing)
3. RHCP: Can't stop
4. RHCP: Fortune Faded
5. RHCP: By The Way
6. LOTRSoundtrack: Evenstar
7. LOTR Soundtrack: Breath of Life
8. LOTR Soundtrack: Concerning Hobbits
9: Deadmau5: God is DJ
10. Deadmau5: Hurt
11: Dash Berlin:  Man on the run
12. Seether: Fine Again
13. Seether: Broken
14: A perfect circle: Magdalena
15. A Perfect Circle: The Hollow

that's pretty much it and I'll let them play on repeat for 20 hours or so....suggestions? comments?

This is a great site. I rotate b/w pink noise, white noise, the 20-20k sweep, and several different genres of music for about 5-8 hrs, then let them rest for a few hours. Depending on the phone, could take anywhere from 50-400hrs. I have a pair of UE Super fi 5 EBs going on 90hrs. Sound totally different than they did at 0hrs and 50hrs, and I have read that they change again around 100hrs and again at 400hrs.

I have some home cooked files I use listed in my signature. the brown centric file seems to help bring out the lower mids and midbass, the one with more pink and white noise seems to help bring out the upper mids and treble. I have a 3rd burnin file that is to big to make available that mixes in heavy drumming and cymbals which is good for stresses treble and bass more heavily. But I also mix in a bunch of regular music after I give my headphone their initial 50hrs or so of burn-in.

I also find different headphones need different amounts of burn-in, and the choices of burn-in files definitely help shape the sound a bit.

Pink noise - when things aren't quiet

Otherwise
Dash Berlin ft Emma Hewitt - Waiting
Ashley Wallbridge - Harrier
Gaia - Tuvan
Noisia - Machine Gun
Armin Van Buuren ft VanVelzen - Broken Tonight
Justice - Genesis
Justice - D.A.N.C.E (Mstrkrft remix)

I usually fully charge the ZuneHD and leave it on until the battery drains. In experience it's about 35 hours.

Thanks for the link and appreciate your feedback guys. I will give the burninwave.com a spin and mix it with some of my iRiver tunes.
