Seriously, I haven't used my

for anything but PC games for 2 months now? What the hell? I listen to music in my car, on my crappy Klipsch stereo downstairs and the two most expensive systems I have: the K1000 and my upstairs stereo get NO playtime music-wise.

Should I get rid of it and get something more appropriate? I feel guilty having these fine cans and not using them for tunes.

Whatever you can afford. I personally would be quite satisfied with an A900 or A500 if I was only gaming with my headphones.

I heard of one member who uses his Orpheus HE-90 mostly for gaming.

I use my RS1 for Unreal, and I listen to rock on my HD580.

I use my sr-225 for adult liveshow all the time, since the sr-225 have that wonderful midrange. the female vocal really stand out

the k1k should be superb for gaming. the stupid acurate sound reproduction will hep in the games where stuff sneaks up behind you, and sounds like tis behinfd you.

I just feel so guilty....Oh well, there really isn't much better I just wish PC game sourcing was better.

Of all the games I play, I feel like World of Warcraft put the most time into the audio. Really nice ambient soundtrack, and not too much compression on anything at all... I really can't hear it.

The first time you walk into the Undercity, past the broken bell and over the dead rose petals? My favorite moment in gaming audio, period.

Well, your probably more of a gamer than a music guy it sounds like. There are no rules, so why torture yourself by sitting in a chair and listening to music when you'd rather be gaming. The K1K's throw the biggest soundstage of any headphone - that's probbably why they sound so good for gaming.

I've never tried it for gaming, but do what you want to do. Don't feel like you have to live by other people's standards of how they listen.

You should only feel guilty if you are playing Serious Sam on a 17" crt with a 9600pro.

I use my k1k playing games (ie day of defeat source and hopefully the new red orchestra on steam), with a 17" crt and 6600gt, not to mention the 512mb of ram

Sell 'em and buy some CDs with the money.

P.S. not that there's anything wrong with you, but it seems like they're a bit too expensive/high end to use only for gaming, and a cheaper pair of cans will do just as well.
