as for my thoughts on the saddest song........I dont usually go classical with these choices, since my overall knowledge of it is not extensive, but, Samuel Barbers Adagio For Strings (used as the theme for the movie "Platoon") is perhaps the saddest (and most moving) single piece of music I've ever heard............
