What is the best option these days for an amp that’s completely neutral (no hint of warmth, etc), and top of the heap in terms of precision and detail?

I have the THX AAA 789 right now and I’m wondering if there’s anything that can take that to the next level.

You are probably pretty much there now with that amp, but if you want to go crazy mental, get the Benchmark HPA-4 and call it a day. I owned the HPA-4 and it's every bit a super precision tool. The user interface is excellent too.

Get HPA4 if you want maximum precision and power. The step relay volume control is also the best you can get. Keeps the original sound of the source / dac without adding or subtracting anything. Highly recommended!
