my 1st pair were so uncomfortable (But highly rated) that I haven't used one in 2 years. Mid range is usually how I shop, $200 therabouts. Oh, nothing bass heavy. Thanks.

you could get a cheap custom: i have small ear canals and baby ears and only the customs or my audio technica ck10 have been comfortable for long periods of time. the ck10 is more than 200$ of course but back when the yen was weak, not too much more.

silicon flanges hurt my ears, even the small ones and comply type foamies make too much pressure on me canals. i have given up sort of on non-customs for my own phones. though i love to review new phones all the time.
