This gets me on iems quite a bit; on headphones often the way the cable goes out helps.

For me it's the non stop urge to try things, and try them again, then try them again on a new amp, then again. How many times do I need to own the hd600 for heaven's sake?!?!

I love IEMs very much. I don't mind the cleaning, earwax, etc. stuff and I never have them pulled out of my ear.
The thing that annoys me the most is that when it's cold out and you put on a winter hat over your ears, the microphonics are terrible. Also you can't really use them when you're laying down in bed if you have your head on its side, but I guess the same can be said for open cans.
