Im in the market for a headphone with the most AIRY OPEN type sound you can get ! Can any one help ! ( i have just purchased 2 dt-880 headphones becouse of the airy quality of them but i know there are better headphones out there

I guess it has to be the K1K....the air is basically the room ambient and there is literally an empty space between the drives and your ears.

Airy in all senses, both literally and in terms of soundstaging

Electrostats would be my top pick. Sennheiser HE90 if you can get your hands on one, otherwise Stax SR-404 or original SR-Omega (though you'll literally never find one... ever).

I was going to suggest the K701 as well, but they are far darker than DT880s... not sure if they fit the bill.

K501 is far airier than the K701.

Of the headphones I have owned or heard over the years, hands down the K1000s and or the STAX Lambda Pros.
