As much as we love to shuffle our playlists and sip on a cup of mocha. We're all very interested in what songs you have in your playlist.

As I am a bass freak I always make bass oriented test for my new headphones, what I always play is these two:

Chemical Brothers "Under The Influence"
Bjork "Hyperballad"

I saw some guy's signature that said "There's a little basshead in all of us." I think that's true. I like to test the bass response with a couple songs:
Pistol-Dustin Kensrue
You Can Bring Me Flowers-Ray LaMontagne (intro)
How to Save a Life-The Fray (ending, with drums)
I'm Yours-Jason Mraz
Golden Age of Radio (studio version)-Josh Ritter (intro)
Then I'll just test for all around:
God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen-Jars of Clay
Ragged Wood-Fleet Foxes
Dove and the Waterline and Ghost Repeater-Jeffrey Foucault
All The Time-Johnny Mathis
Lillian Egypt, Bone of Song, Snow is Gone, Mind's Eye-Josh Ritter
Mr. Brightside-The Killers
Black Horse and the Cherry Tree-KT Tunstall
The Crunge, Misty Mountain Hop, Dazed and Confused, Good Times, Bad Times-Led Zeppelin
The Blood of Cu Chulainn-Mychael and Jeff Danna (sometimes known as the theme from The Boondock Saints)

I'm just wondering, if you play a really stressing song the first time on your headphones, will there be any damage to the headphones? Like if the song hits REALLY high notes.

Beck's "Paper Tiger" song off the MoFi reissue of Sea Change. That song has so much depth, layering, highs, lows, orchestral music that I can right away tell if I like the new headphones I am testing out.

It's ALWAYS the same for me

Superman Theme by John williams
Can you read my mind ( also from superman by mr. williams )
Guthrie Govan - Waves
Marco Sfogli - Still Hurts/Andromeda
Stochelo Rosenberg - For Sephora live

if those songs sound good, i keep the headphones. If they dont, I sell or return hehe. MY new grado 225i with 414s plays them to a level i enjoy more than anything else ive ever used outside of the HD485. Oh my god im so happy with my 225i's
