I'm thinking of buying the FH3 i.e. m but I would need a mic/controller cable to use with my iPhone 12. But after a lot of googling I can't find the specific requirements for this iem cable replacement

does anyone know?

You’re looking for an IEM cable with “MMCX” type connectors and in-line microphone/volume control. Most in-line microphone cables follow the CTIA standard, which is compatible with most modern phones/devices, so if you see anything labeled as “OMTP Standard” I’d avoid it.

There are many options out there, but here are two options to help guide your search:

• Shure RMCE-UNI - $31
• ALO Audio — 3-Button Cable - $99
