i have a 4gb (3.73gb) MP3 sony player i use for listening when i am not at my computer and i would like to know whats the best setting for audio quality, i have 600mb left and i feel that i could use these mbs to get more profit out of my audio files.

all my audio are in lossless so i can encode to whatever, but my mp3 only supports wma and mp3.

I wanted to ask what are the best settings for a balance between audio quality and size, i am currently using 192 CBR with lame, using xrecode II as the encoder i would like to know if i can get more than that? i heard vbr is better and takes less space? and if so how i set up vbr on xrecode II? thanks!
