I travel by motorcycle around North America and like to listen to FM radio when riding (by earphone) and when in the hotel/campsight by night. Sound quality, weather station etc would be nice but what is most important is reception, wieght and size. I welcome any and all suggestions as I am not radio savy and never will be and look to the resident portabe radio expert to educate me.

Ask me about 1970's Kawasaki H2's and I will tell you anything. Radio reception...not so much. Thank you in advance.

Sansa Clip+

Has:
FM Radio
Small
Light
Clips
I love it for my bicycle and my Bike

Doesn't:
Internal speaker

There is no pmp that is that small with a internal speaker that I know of

I use my clip and actually clip it to inside my jacket with one earbud in the helmet (make sure you only have one, cops and all that noise is is a big ticket)

EDIT:
If you want, you can put a bike battery, with charger, with exstention cord, with fm deck, with speakers in a rear mounted saddle bag. My honda is too nice to put anything on ti like that, but you can if you want.

Sony SRF-S84
Sony SRF M97

they are both excellent, the second one is programmable,
the first one is much easier to use, and sounds fine :)

oops, no in-built speakers though, these are lighter/USB stick size...
