Been reading a lot about portable amps recently and I am wondering what is the best portable amp for EQ functions. I use to have Fiio E11 and I am not sure if that is representative of the quality of the E17s EQ abilities but it falls quite short compared to the headstage arrow 4G. The 4G on the other hand, only has two boost settings for bass and treble vs the E17 which has 10 (TEN!) which means I really can have as much as I want and almost exactly as much as I want.
I really love the Headstages EQ abilities because it completely craps all over software EQ (I've been playing with software EQ recently and have been met with much frustration >,<).
Is there any portable amps (that are actually portable) or other portable device which will offer great quality and quantity in EQ settings?
Note: I've never tried an E17 so please let me know if the bass and treble boost on it is much cleaner than what I experience with the E11 and E6.
