I've been trying to read up on what the best audio quality is for my iDevices. It looks like AAC Audio is the best in terms of keeping original CD quality, while maintaining an efficent size  on the hard drives. Is 192kbps AAC much better than 128kbps AAC? how about mp3 Kbps Quality vs AAC? 
 
Any advice would be appreciated

ALAC > all lossy formats
192kbps AAC > 128kbps AAC
AAC x kbps > MP3 x kbps

If you're going to do AAC, just do the maximum 320 kbps. It is stilll lossy, like MP3, but it is the best quality lossy. Personally, I only use lossy for portable audio.
