Hi, everybody. I just have A20 amp to pair with my dt1770 pro. Audio output from Sony WM1A through Audioquest Sydney 3.5mm to RCA. But I just found A20 is actually not good with drive dt1770 pro. Then I'm asking for any better suggestion of amp under $1,000 or any experience you can share with me about DT1770 PRO. My fiend said A20 is OK, I can try a better player mayber not portable one.

Maybe you can try a tube headphone amplifier.

My friend also said Schiit lyr2 or v 2 are good choices of tube amp. How'd you say?

So far I've been liking my Darkvoice 336SE.
Easily drives my Beyer T90.

By v 2, I'm guessing you mean Valhalla 2. It pairs quite nicely with the higher ohm Beyers/Senns/etc.

Yep, Valhalla 2. I guess I need to try both 336se and Valhalla 2 and see which one should I take.
