Listening to Abbey Road for the first time through my first set of quality cans (ATH-50 + FiiO E6), I heard a counterpoint to the melody on "Maxwell's Silver Hammer" on the third verse that I had never noticed before. What are some examples of things that you discovered in a song you've heard before, that were revealed by new equipment?

Well the biggest thing was soundstage and dynamics. Got new amp and speakers. Played Katie Melua Piece by Piece for the first time and she was actually in the room. The illusion is so real. Amazing experience. Then played every album I had at the moment looking for new stuff.
Dynamics was another big thing. Bass was not rumble (don't know the word for it) but soft with oomph. And highs where more pronounced and had more air ?
