What is best to hardcore techno? HD800 or Tesla T1?

Well, its like this: crap in, crap out.
Imo, thats hust unworthwhile.
Hardcore techno performers doesnt care much about sound quality like blues or jazz performers. I think that listening to such music with headphones which show so much details will be verry fatiguing for your ears.

Try headphones like hd380pro, srh840, dj1pro. You can buy them all at the same time, test them to see which one you like the most and send back the others to shop.

Skylab didn't say T1 is better per se IIRC, he just said T1 is better if you want a warmer presentation, but HD800 still has the soundstage edge. It's what you like that matters, not what he likes.

I have heard both, but only with Jazz, Rock and Metal. Neither impressed me slightly. I prefer DT880 600ohm (maybe it was the price difference?) over T1 for Rock and Metal and the K1000 and Stax O2 over the T1 and HD800 for Jazz (never tried K1000 with anything other than Jazz). I used T1, HD800 and DT880 600ohm with EXACTLY the same rig, all coming out of a SPL Auditor.

Going from various impressions and descriptions of HD800 and T1, I would be looking at the HD800. Maybe for hardcore techno you will be best off at looking at Ultrasone and Denon? Both impressed me with all kinds of electronic music (like trance). Try looking into Denon D7000 (or even MD7000, LA7000 Lite and LA7000) and Ultrasone Pro 900, Edition 8, Edition 9. I owned a ALO-780 for a couple of months and they amazed me with trance, but I barely listen to trance (more of a rock and metal guy), so I sold them.

No problem.

Mabe you should buy Denon D7000 (or MD7000, LA7000 Lite or LA7000) instead of HD800/T1.

No, it's just a different signature. A matter of taste imo, like with most high end headphones.
