The Denon D7000 are gorgeous and I love owning them. However on the rare occasion I attempt to use them I find them just too bass heavy. With a high end system I’m sure they sound great. But I use them through my integrated amp or iPhone, streaming Tidal.
When I switch to my Grado, the bass is less thick (tighter) and treble is cleaner but there’s no midrange warmth or fullness I love about the Denon. They also are uncomfortable.
I’m looking for suggestions for a headphone that combines the best of these two headphones. From what I’ve read Audeze LCD-XC may fit the bill.
Any ideas?
