I have a pair of Alessandro MS1s I love, but for office use they're awful. I have hearing loss (genetic), so I have to crank the MS1s pretty high to enjoy them with my hearing aids out; all my neighbors can hear what I'm listenting to.
What IEM headphone would be close to the MS1s personality? I'm looking for something that's very foward sounding, since the bulk of my hearing loss is smack dab in the middle of normal human voice frequencies (3-6k). I listen to many genres of music and find the MS1s pleasing and have adaquate bass extension.
I'll be pushing these headphones mostly with my Creative Nomad JB3 (it won't die).
Would the Etymotic ER-4 fit the bill? Bear in mind that whatever phones I get, they must stand up to being pushed hard.
$100-$200 is my range, but of course the closer to the lower end, the better.
