what horrible twist of fate first brought you to head-fi?

Googled Zen Micro Altoids Tin, found Head-Fi, forgot about it, found [H]ard|Forum, then got linked again to Head-Fi. And this time I stayed.

Hi all,

I am currently using (and have been for 2 years) a Sony MDR-V700 series headphone. However, I find that I am unable to use it for more than an hour; my head starts to hurt and my ears get sweaty.

I was looking into a couple of other headphones today, namely the MDR-F1 and the MDR-SA1000. The MDR-F1 looks heavenly comfortable, while the MDR-SA1000 looks too much like the MDR-V700.

My question is, for owners of the MDR-SA1000; is it very heavy and does it hurt like the MDR-V700? Is it as comfortable as the F1? I am fine with the sound with the V700 (although I am sure many here would kill me for saying that, :eggo, and I am wrought between the F1 and the SA1000. Both are around the same price from here, about $200 CAD. (F1 is harder to attain).

Thanks,
Adrian Kwok.
