Me personally having demoed so many I'd say the Mad Dogs, they seem to have a gap between most Midfi phones like the Momentum, HP100 and others on that level.

most mid-fi closed $200-300 closed headphones would be considered entry-hi-fi I would imagine. to quick an easy jump in sound quality, just go open at that price range up to $400 like HD600/HD650/HE400.
if you are trying to go further up, there is the TH-600 (tho it may not isolate that well), alpha dogs, ath w-series... all the way up to the Ultrasone Sig Pro at $1k. then there is the beyer t5p $1.4k, th900 $1.5k, and finally the audeze lcd-xc $1.8k.
