I am stuck between the sennheiser hd 598, sennheiser pc 360 and the Razer tiamat 7.1.
I hear only the tiamat has true surround out of all.
I will mainly use them for gaming, maybe sometimes music.
I'm no audiophile, but I am very picky about sound quality.

Sennheiser HD558 headphones and any add-on mic you like.
 
Assuming this setup is for a Win PC
Also get the Sound Blaster Z sound card.
