I am looking for a pair of headphones no more than $150 and hopefully around 100. I'm somewhat new to headphones; I've never owned hi-fi headphones and right now I only have a pair of UE4000's, but I do want headphones with good sound. I'm looking to step up to a mid-level pair of headphones $150, but preferably under $100. An amplifier/DAC is no problem, because I have an old E-MU 0202 USB DAC/Amp that can supposedly drive a pair of HD650's. And if I need to, I can always buy or build a cmoy amp. Anyways, I will mostly use these headphones for rock music and sometimes electronic or rap. These headphones do not need to be portable; they will be used at home. However, a removable cable is a must, because I know eventually I'll end up pulling the cord and ruining it, so I will need to replace the cable. So far I've only found a few headphones that interest me: Audio Technica ATH-M50x, the Logitech UE6000, AKG K240, and the AKG 271 MKII. Any ideas?
