Gee, I've been waiting for the "coming attraction" at 6 moons; a review of the Bel Canto DAC3. Now no review, coming or arrived. So, enquiring minds want to know. Was the review going to be so bad that they dropped it? Or, what happened?

I guess you are not a frequent reader of 6Moons then, because their "upcoming reviews" do not get updated frequently. Just look at the GS1000 review: it has been up in the "coming soon" section for several months already, and only today was the review posted. The long period of time before the review doesn't mean that the gear under review is bad. Again, look at the GS1000 review: Ryan loved it. So just wait.
