trying to get as much feed back as possible before I spend my hard earned cash. Amped appears the way to go, so what amp and phone combination are people using with mp3`s?
what full size closed cans do you use with mp3?

I no longer have a closed-back headphone.
But the Stax 4070 pleased me very well, even when using high bitrate MP3 files (256kbps+)

I use an Auzentech Forte sound card with built in high impedence headphone amp and a apair of JVC- HA-DX1 phones.
The Auzenetch card is an excellent way to save money and improve your computer immensly while also getting your foot in the door in regards to amplification. It took my JVC's to a new level of sound.
