Do many people use different earphones for different genre of music/activity? I use the A151 for the gym, B2 for rock/pop/alternative, M5-MG7 for hip hop, and IE8 for everything once I get it again. What earphones do you use if you have multiple pairs?

I use my Sleek Audio SA6's for all my music when using my Iphone. I listen to anything from ambient and chillout to dubstep to progressive rock and metal. The SA6's sound good with everything.

Oh... and yes the SA6's are tunable, but I use the bass+ and treble+ 100% of the time. I'd say they sound pretty neutral or natural. Not bass heavy, but not bass light either. A little more sparkle wouldn't hurt, but at least they never get tiring. In this configuration they sound pretty similar to the HD650's.

- Bose ie2 for running in the city (which replaced Portapros)
- Meelectronic M6 for laying down/sleeping
- Etymotic HF3 as my out and about with lots of down time pair
- AKG K701/Etymotic ER4S as my critical listening pair (mostly classical/jazz)
- Monster Miles Davis Tribute for fun

I think I'm pretty happy with everything now, so time to start saving for LCD-2's!

-- Critical  listening: D7000
-- Singing to music: PFR-V1 or MX980
-- On foot or in the office: Monster Coppers
-- Rock: Monsters
-- Classical: ER4S with canal molds, but waiting for W4 to show up
-- Sleep: waiting for W4 to show up
-- I'm addicted to using the Sony PFR-V1 for movies on my laptop, unless the flick revolves around music or explosions -- then I opt for the MX980s.
