What does the smart volume on the micro do?

Also, what is the song on that vonage commmercial that goes like woo hoo woo who who woo woo who who woo wooo woo woo

It allows you to listen to all the songs in the same volume, without having to adjust it on every song. Er that doesn't really make sense but yeah if you have a song that's kind of quiet and one that's much louder, smart volume will make them sound the same according to how high/low you set it.

smart volume performs 2 functions:
1. as snukster said, it makes all the songs play back at the same volume, despite their recording volume
2. it sucks the battery dry, cutting the battery life by a couple to a few hours (very scientific, eh?)

i did a test and posted it a while back and it sucks 1 1/2 hours. it might be worth it if you have alot of files that are really loud or soft but most of the time i keep it off and normalize anything that is way off the scale.
