What does "capacitive coupling output to dispense limit of output transformer" mean?

I got a new OTL headphone amp that has RCA preamp outputs. It's not line level as the volume knob changes the volume. I want to make sure the voltage from the preamp output doesn't damage my connecting amplifier, and I think that phrasing in the manual might be related to stepping down the voltage?
