Talk about a car ahead of it's time. I didn't even know Toyota made cars back then.

As for me, I drive a 2001 Corolla, which I got after my '92 camry got crunched.

Does your Corolla have the 7A-FE engine or the 1ZZ-FE (100kW) one?

(oops, yes, it should have been 1988)

But for 170K+ miles it still runs great, starts right up and has minimal glitches - fewer than my '93 Nissan Quest(Mercury Villager) GXE.

awesome city car, thats all i got to say.

I was actually looking for a Cressida when I found this. The only reason I test drove it the first time was to get an idea of how well the engines hold up (I think we've got the same motor)

I really have no clue, but it is a VVT-i engine. Either the first or second year they offered it I think. It gets 125 hp and 125 lbs. of torque out of it.

EDIT: Google is the best. It is the 1ZZ-FE

You are one lucky person. I wouldn't care what I drove if somebody else was buying the gas.

BTW even though we have that Explorer I listed as our main transportation, I drive my 1977 Dodge W100 the most. Probably because I drive it to work and back. I am always working.

I wish somebody would buy the gas for my pickup. It gets 5mpg.

2003 Honda Civic Hybrid.
Highs: Fun to drive, good gas mileage, CVT transmission, lots of interior room surprisingly.
Lows: Although it has no problem keeping up w/ traffic (beating most of it) it is no rocket sled. Gas mileage is not as good as I think it should be.

I used to own a MB 560SEL which passed everything but a gas station, now I pass all the gas stations and most everything else!

Now if they would only make a convertable version of that! Market it as EcoFun: save fuel at the pump and save fuel at the tanning bed!

What kind of MPG are you getting? You said it wasn't as good as you hoped.

My main vehicle would, of course, be my Hummer this time of year. But on occasion I like to use one of my back-ups like my new Bentley coupe or my imported Aston-Martin. The old SL600 rarely sees much use, but the chicks like it sometimes.
