Folks,
I am having trouble deciding what to get. I need something that sounds good unamped out of my ibook and ipod and portable enough that i can wear them walking around downtown and such. isolation isnt a huge deal. i just want good bass. i listen to alot of rock and electronic music with some hiphop thrown in and i love bass. i'd also like to keep it around $100 usd

I dont think there is possible to get a very good bass without a amp.
But if it's possible I think you should by one of the Shure's

well i mean low hip hop electronic good. you know ghetto with a sub ish hehe not like upright jazz bass good

how are the e2c's for low bass, like lords of acid and rap low my cheap sony's have pretty low end and i'd like to keep it around there

the E2c's are ok for that. they don't have the best extension, though.
