EDIT: Well, they sold for about a buck on Ebay. Go figure.

Looks like the online store should be open soon. You might be able to use them there.

I have $60 in CC Reward certificates (from my Circuit City Credit Card) that I can no longer use. I meant to check out the firesale, but never made it. Oh well. I guess I can use them as toilet paper.
For your useless gift cards, you can use them as keys (to gain unlawful entry) or to spread thermal paste on CPUs if you're into building computers or as a crumb comb. Cheer up...all is not lost!

A few ideas:
Re-Gift them to someone you don't like.
Make guitar picks out of them.
Try to sell them on Ebay as a novelty.
Shim for a table that wobbles.
Use them to pick foreign objects out of your teeth.

Didn't Circuit City liquidate under bankruptcy? Bankruptcy most likely discharged any value those cards held. Sorry.
You didn't miss much with the sale, either. Strangely enough, the liquidator raised prices and then discounted them to about retail. I saw thrashed display items without box or manual selling for more than NIB ones elsewhere. One can only wonder why Circuit City's business model failed.
On the bright side, you can take your gift cards to restaurants and shim that wobbly table.

It's funny, I called the Check My Balance number on the back of the card(s), and it goes to a fast busy.

Tape them together and use them as a mouse pad.

Keep them for about forty more years, and sell them on Ebay, or whatever the hot auction site is at that time. You should get your money back, without interest, as a valuable, nostalgic collectors item.

If The Source in Canada is owned by Circuit City then why are they still doing business up here?

Some bad news for you...
I received a $32 refund check from overpaying my 18 month same as cash, Plasma purchase, and when I went to cash it, it bounced and cost me a $10 returned check fee.
