I buy myself tech gear in a continual diarrhic dribble throughout the year so Christmas is usually not special in that way. I had actually hoped to get RID of some stuff for Christmas thereby helping to unclutter my home but this did not happen.


In terms of presents given, strangely I'm looking forward to sweaters this Christmas Lunch with my friends.

A sweater and a dirt devil for my apartment.

Now, what did I buy for myself? HD-590's, Revo 5.1, and a PA2V2 (just a few min ago).

I've never owned anything but the little earbuds that come with stuff in my life, so after a little reading on OC Forums and then a lot of searching around here, I ordered a pair of HD201's from Newegg. I won't use headphones unless I'm with my laptop or something, as I usually just listen to the system that's with my main computer. But it'll be nice to have something that doesn't suck when my roommate's asleep or I'm away from home, though. I'm looking forward to listening to them (and hoping I don't get addicted).

I didn't buy myself anything, but I did get given a DAB digital radio tuner. WOOHOO!

Now after christmas abd I am planning my next audio expenditure, I have to fight-off between a new portable 'phone... (I'm thinking customs, or I can't be bothered) OR... a new CD player, which I am long overdue... OR... a new integrated amp for my speakers.

Ah... so many possibilities.

I got my lil sister, step-mother and mother books.
I got my brother Westone UM1.
I got my 19-yo sister AKG K26P.
I gave my cousin my copy of Cormac McCarthy's Blood Meridian.
I convinced my friend to buy the UM2.
I got myself a Meier Audio Corda Aria and DT880.
