What Desktop DAC/AMP under $1,000 are you using?

The term "integrated" is likely technically correct, but sounds strange in context of headphone amplifiers. I think basically all headphone amps have integrated volume control, as I have not met pure power headphone amp yet.

To the question, I use SMSL SH-9 to my deep satisfaction.

I don't like all in one units and this is the only one I have in the price range you mentioned. I do have other all in ones, but I use them as DACs with separate headamps.

I guess the OP changed the thread title but integrated amp should mean preamp and power amp in one enclosure.

I don't use it personally, but after tried many dac or amp from topping, smsl, fiio, burson, schiit and denafrips (all under $1000), my most fav from them all is fiio k9 pro ess.

RME ADI 2 DAC. A bit more expensive, but can find one used for that.
