Sorry if this Q has been asked 100000000000 times but can someone tell me what DAC does the Fuze use, is it a Wolfson ?

Originally Posted by Jupiterknight /img/forum/go_quote.gif I believe the Clip uses same chip or platform as the Fuze, here's a link that seems to confirm this. SanDisk AMS Sansa Series The AS3536 microcontroller that the Fuze uses has according to specs.: 2 line inputs, 2 microphone inputs, Line output, Stereo Headphone Audio Amplifier, Stereo Speaker Audio Amplifier , 10 Channel Audio Mixer. Not all of these possibilities are used in the Fuze. For instance we have seen that different types of LOD's has over the past couple of years been developed by other parties, but Sansa should actually be able to employ this functionality as well, maybe even through the headphone out. A line input for stereo recordings could be a possibility as well. But all of this would probably need certain upgrades, circuit wise, FW improvement and also a better battery than the 3.7V 550 mAh to power all this. |
