What DAC can compete with the DI/O for the heart of the CD3000

i have found that modded DI/O that their voltage output remains 7V, matches the DI/O well.
does anyone feels the same and can recommend an upgrade to a DAC that still has that fullness of the DI/O+CD3k's?
