Not something that closed cans tend to excel with, I know, but it's one of the most important things to me in a pair of headphones. I really love the GS1000 soundstage, but need something closed; any suggestions?

A great sounding closed-back headphone, with a very good soundstage.

Soundstage depends on source and amp as well as headphones, of course, so synergy is important.

Given that caveat, I personally think Ultrasone Edition 9's have exceptional soundstaging. IME the soundstage of a closed phone can be every bit as good as that of an open phone.
