What changes did UE make to the TF10s after first launch?

I bought my TF10s when they first came out (in the limited edition, collectors tin run). I vaguelly recall reading somewhere that UE tweaked them after that, but I can't 100% confirm this. I may be wrong....

Anyone know if this is the case, and if so what changes were made, and is there any visible way to know?

Cheers!

I'd like to know too, as my recent replacements have a pat. number on which my previous pair didn't. I've no idea if that makes them old/new stock...not that it matters, just curious.

I had a pair from both eras. I believe only packaging changed.

First edition had hard fancy case and the newer is cardboard exactly like Super Fi Pro.

Hi Spyro,

Yeah, I have the fancy collectors tin version. It is just that i read somewhere that changes were made to the sound AFTER the initial collectors tin run based on feedback from customers...

Glad you think that this isn't the case.

I have one pair of the pre-limited edition time and one actual.

Here are some pics with the changes. The newer one has a straight connector which fits i.e. into the headphone jack of the iPhone 2G and a more flexible cable.

I think I'm getting the one on the left. I'm assuming its the first edition. But I really would like to get a cord with a straight plug. Where can I get one of those?
