What changed in headrooms measurements?

Clear opposition at the bass-end of things. How did the measurements change? Methods, instruments?
How reliable are the new measurements?

Wow, the K701 seems to have changed dramatically in the highs.

I believe HeadRoom stated that their methods are not an exact science and they are always experimenting looking for ways to improve their results.
