What CDs are you bringing to Headphone World Tour?

well, this is all good and fun, but... really how can you test a high end headphone system with crap (the way the CD is recorded, not the music, that's all about personal taste)?

I mean I guess it's ok for the portable table

When HeadRoom stopped in Dallas, I brought my 48 pack of CDs. For some reason hardly anyone who came to the tour stop brought their own CDs so they seemed to appreciate mine. Apparently a lot of the non-HeadFiers (or should I say not-yet-HeadFiers) are prog rock fans. This pleases me.

My case contained my two reference recordings: Fates Warning: A Pleasant Shade Of Grey and the new Telarc 1812. Also included were heavy doses of Rush, Dream Theater, Louis & Ella, Tool, Hillary Hahn and Pink Floyd.

Even though there is more bass in the 1812 and Fates Warning I have listed, there's just something cool about listening to Tool through an amp that can really deliver the bass.

FWIW, Tyll has an absolute ton of music available. His stuff runs heavily into jazz but includes a healthy mix of other genres.
