I'm looking for a decent cart to put on one of my SL1200's to use as a starter vinyl setup. What would you guys recommend? I know if I buy a high end grado, I won't be able to tell the difference over the TT noise, so what should I aim for?
Currently, I'm guessing the Grado Green or Blue. My main concern is not tearing up any records I buy, so when I get a Rega or whatever later, my vinyl will have survived. I know my Ortofons and Shures would ruin a stack of bluenotes
