I've never been an album collector as any band or artist I've listened to have disappointed at one point or another, making me skip at least one of their albums. There's only one band I've all albums of (unless you count new bands with only one album out there) and that's Lighthouse Family with 3 albums. Anyone interested in some soothing alternative to chill out too, check out www.lighthousefamily.com which allows you to hear (all and entire?) songs from their latest album.

Well my list eliminates any group with less than three albums in career.

Also I don't like to "collect" entire works by any group. I only have time to listen to very best works available and sell off anything that is less than best effort ......... therefore even though I have huge CD collection few artists do I have every album. Also I will list any artist where I have 95% of work only missing obscure, live or obviously bad single album.

Looks like we have a new candidate for the "darkest desires" thread here.

I can now say that I have all of the Offspring's albums.
I picked up a used copy of The Offspring while I was in Seattle last weekend. That was the only one I was missing

I like all sorts of music so I rather buy many different artists than all albums of the same.

That's not quite true anymore.
Heather Nova I think did live albums (?) I don't have them.
And Leah andreone I had a CD on order at that time but it was OOP.

Wouldn't it be interesting to know what artists people would like to have all the albums? Shows what people more recently discovered and are getting into at the moment.
Worth a new thread?

I'm not sure what the definition of "all" is for classical composers so I'll define it as complete compositions for a particular instrument e.g., piano, or style e.g., symphony, concerto, etc.

Beatles (on vinyl and CD)
Patti Smith
Rush
Queen
Smashing Pumpkins
Tool
Grieg (piano)
Smetana (piano)
Debussy (piano)
Chopin (need I say - piano?)
Beethoven (piano)
Tchaikovsky (symphonies & concertos)
Dvorak (symphonies)
Great Pianists of the 20th Century

Probably several others if I thought about it long enough.

Bill Hicks (do comedians count?)
Beck (not Jeff Beck, just Beck)

That's all that comes to mind.
