In all seriousness, I looooved these two games. The move to 3d for the 3rd killed off the Golden Sun feel for me though.

Oh yeah forgot about that one. I loved Golden Sun too. It was an amazing game. I remember how I hyped I was waiting to play it. Same with the original Pokemon Red/Blue.

Don't get me wrong though.   For four of five to be so well known makes it sound like I barely play the genre... so I gotta give my honorabe mentions to stuff like Trails in the Sky,  Terranigma, Disgaea 4, Xenoblade Chronicles, Xenogears, Tales of Symphonia, Earthbound, Mother 3, Eternal Sonata, Vagrant Story, Baten Kaitos, Xenosaga, Breath of Fire III,  Persona 4, Ar Tonelico, Tales of Eternia, FFIV, FFIX, FFX, FFT, and the entire Ys series.    I could go on really.  So I will.. Skies of arcadia, Shadow Hearts, The Last Story, Tales of Vesperia, 

I feel so crappy picking three FF games in my top 5.    They're just really damn good to me though.
