What are your ratios? I've been accused by some of my friends of having ratios that are "way out of wack". This is really a follow-up question to the "How Many CD's Do You Own" thread.

I'll go first. I tend to use pretty broad categories when archiving my CD's. Please feel free to use your own set of categories, and categorize as finely or coarsely as you see fit. For example, I lump pop, rock, oldies, girl groups, southern rock, alternative rock, soul, Motown, etc.... all into one category named "Pop/Rock". Feel free to use my categories, but if you want, bust 'em out in whatever way works for you.

Total # CD's: 2095

Here are my ratios:
Pop/Rock: 32.4%
Rap/Hip Hop: 0.9%
Blues: 1.3%
Jazz: 35.1%
Classical: 15.8%
Country: 10.1%
Soundtracks: 1.7%
Christmas: 1.3%

well, i dont' wanna count.

but i'll guestimate:

Pop/Rock: 35%
Rap/Hip Hop: 5%
Electronic: 35%
Jazz: 10%
Classical: 10%
Other: 5%

soundtracks and such i group into the different categories, based on the overall feel. so an orchestral score soundtrack goes in classical, whilst the reality bites soundtrack goes in pop/rock.

rock/pop: 79%
jazz: 14%
soundtrack: 3%
new age: 2%
blues: 2%

bit heavy on the pop/rock, but so damned many artists fall in that category.

7 classical
2 electronic and
1 rock

Sometimes, I get in jazzy moods and it will be 5 jazz 5 classical.
