well considering that education in america (higher education that is) is generally more expensive, you wouldnt hav to save that much. also i suggest, taht although you save, you might want to buy anything you would need over here in america. also, get a small part time job, there is no shortage of those in london (just make sure u get a good pay, i know of a few people who did a part time job, and didnt realise they were gettin below minimum wage)

and i am saving for uni, even though my parents are paying for most of it, i cant really ask them for stuff like socialising etc (even though they would pay if i asked them).

I'm mostly saving and investing just for whatever. I do have a savings project on the side, though; I was thinking about a Lotus Elise, but I refuse to go into debt for any car, especially a fragile toy like an Elise. So I had been putting some cash away for it, and now I'm just waiting until the prices go to where I want them, which will most likely be this winter.

My photography equipment, which will end up being up to or a little over $10,000. I know, that's pretty expensive, but when you're planning on making it as a career, it's a start.

My wedding. Though I'm not so much saving for it as I am paying the deposits and cursing how expensive they are.

Lol, saving. I dream of saving. As soon as my bank balance hits zero again I'll start!

But ... that's about $4000 away. It wasn't audio or espresso gear, but #&@% cars!

Nice, my sister's favourite car in the world. I have no idea why she bought a Tigra instead, and neither does she. I don't think she realised just how much second hand Elises have come down at the time.

House, family, retirement, rainy day, other boring practical things completely unrelated to my hobbies, etc.

Seriously. Being an adult sucks.
