Ahhhh, classic stuff. My guitar hero in Tom Verlaine twiddling on a 12-string, Laetitia Sadier from Stereolab, and even a tribute to the very influential band Suicide and their "23 Minutes Over Brussels". Saw Suicide once open for another band, but can't for the life of me remember who the headliner was now. The crowd was restless, and Suicide was very, very confrontational, and didn't make many fans that day, but I thought they were also very interesting. Guess Wareham must've been a fan at one point too, and it's easy to imagine Tom Verlaine knowing them since they both played a lot at CBGB's back in the day.
But then again, maybe it's also a tribute to that great Pere Ubu song "30 Minutes Over Tokyo"?
Regardless, great album, prime Luna ... but then agian, I love them all. NP on this end, Sparklehorse See The Light, still one of my favorites from last year.
