I've been playing the latest from Luke Doucet listed in my sig. called Broken. Friend of mine just sent it to me to check out and it is a wonderful CD. Almost like a combination of that other great Canadian troubadoor Ron Sexsmith, with maybe some Ed Harcourt and Andrew Bird mixed in. Really nice combo. Not quite as eclectic as Bird, nor as experimental as Harcourt, but not far away either.
