I'm currently quite taken with Baxter Dury. Have been listening to his latest album Night Chancers and also Happy Soup. Quite unique stuff.

From my random playlist this morning:

"Big Block"

Followed by:

"Blood of the Earth", I simply love the tone of vibraphone in this song. Used quite sparingly, accenting all the other music happening.

Then:

"Bubbles"

Finally:

"Can't Find My Way Home"

Makes me sad I pulled into a parking space, but almost glad I drove to work today. Oh, I had no trouble finding my way home this evening.

Based on the post here a few days ago:

And, as is usual for me, lots of different music from a randomized playlist. Some standouts, though, from Pat Metheny:

Welcome 2 America - Prince
Steve Hackett - Selling England By The Pound & Spectral Mornings
Kate Bush - 50 Words for Snow (the title cut is amazing!)

My album of 2022, Josh Ramsey from Marianas Trench (same guy who wrote "Call Me Maybe" for Carly Rae Jepsen,) did a solo album called "The Josh Ramsey Show.) Listening to it on vinyl and he mixes basically every genre as a memorial to his parents who passed away and his new wife. Phenomenally done, give it a listen.
