What are you buying with your tax return?

I'm splurging on a new tripod and ballhead. I'm looking at a carbon fiber Gitzo 2530EX and Really Right Stuff BH-40 ballhead. It's going to cost an arm and a couple legs, but it will help me a lot in my photography. I'm currently using tripods that I've had since the early 80's. Definitely time for an upgrade.

We paid in this year.

Assuming that $1200 tax stimulus thingy happens: tattoo for the wife, 2 hours at the BDSM club, possibly another frenum piercing, lunch.

I let my wife blow our original refund this year, but she said I could have the stimulus check, which with our kids should be 1800, of course I don't want to even think of a thing till it is in my account as I just can't seem to believe it will really come

Unfortunately, my wife's PC crapped out yesterday, so most of the refund went for a new PC today (rats!).

Just found out I'm getting more than half a kilodollar (money is in metric in Canada) for my refund. So that, along with funds from my about-to-be-sold-please-kill-me-now RS-1 is going toward an engagement ring.

I'll probably set it aside in my ING account towards a nice SACD player.

I do the same thing with my ING account: save for larger discretionary purchases. Right now, the funds are for a new home theater!
