hey folks,
now that i have more free time was looking to check out some games..saw some top 10 lists on the internet but wanted people's personal opinions.

so far i have
champions of norrath
just bought gods of war
dance dance revolution and sequel
socom 2

i like all types of games especially if they are quality then the genre doesnt matter as much
i was looking at

splinter cell

any others that are must haves?

The ONLY games I ever really enjoyed on the PS were Medal of Honor Rising Sun (#1) and Jak and Dakster (#2). I don't know why, but otherwise I can take or leave the PS2.

I second Shadow of the Colossus... such an awesome, to the point game.

I honestly dont know if I could come up with 10 games I love for PS2 haha. GT4 would be on there for sure, Im a GT nut. I would have all the DDRs on there, that could be my top 10 PS2 games right there haha there are a bunch of DDR games, I also love the Beatmania and Pop'n Music series games. Guitar Hero is also great, dunno about top 10 though.

If you buy MGS3, and you must, make sure you get the re-release. The camera on the original was broken from the start.

(1) Final Fantasy X - Love it or hate it, this is the game that defined the PS2. Oh, and it kicks ass.
(2) God of War - Absolutely Amazing.
(3) Metal Gear Solid 3 - Arguably the best of the Series

After that, it gets pretty subjective, but I'd add to the list:

(4) Xenosaga
(5) Dragon Quest VII
(6) Burnout Revenge - I find this overall more fun than GT4, but GT4's great too.
(7) Resident Evil 4
(8) Futurama - if you're a fan of the TV series, you'll love this, but good luck trying to find a copy. Oh, and it's HARD.
(9) Kingdom Hearts Series - I haven't played them but everyone loves them
(10) GTA Vice City - only if you like the series. I hated San Andreas myself.

Need for Speed(s), Shin megami tensei series, yazuka isn't too bad. Suikoden V is fun, but the load times during random battles is annoying as hell. Capcom vs SNK 2, if you like fighting games.

Tales series > all.

Add RE4 and you've got an awesome list there.
